EBOO/Ozone Therapy

EBOO stands for Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation. “Extracorporeal” simply means that blood is temporarily circulated outside the body during treatment.

During an EBOO session, blood is drawn through an IV and circulated through a specialized closed system, where it undergoes filtration and controlled exposure to an oxygen-ozone mixture. The treated blood is then continuously returned to the body through a second IV.

Unlike conventional ozone autohemotherapy, which treats a relatively small quantity of blood at a time, EBOO uses continuous circulation to process a substantially larger volume during a treatment session. Published descriptions of the procedure report processing several liters of blood during approximately one hour of circulation.

The result is a sophisticated treatment that combines extracorporeal circulation, filtration, oxygenation, and ozonation into a single procedure.

Who is a good candidate for

EBOO/Ozone Therapy

A good candidate for EBOO is generally an adult interested in advanced wellness therapies who understands both the potential benefits and current limitations of ozone-based treatment.

Because EBOO involves extracorporeal blood circulation and IV access, candidacy requires more than simply choosing the treatment from a menu. Your provider will review your health history, current medications, wellness goals, and other relevant factors to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you.

EBOO is not suitable for everyone. A personal consultation at Vincent Surgical Arts allows our team to evaluate your needs, explain the procedure, discuss potential risks and alternatives, and develop an individualized treatment plan.
